Smocks are aprons designed for women who love to cook and entertain with style. Inspired by contemporary designers, we created Smocks to complement and protect a woman's wardrobe. We also designed Smocks to fit a woman's body. We know you have breasts. We know you have hips. These wonderful features of the female anatomy are enhanced by Smocks, not hidden, smashed or enlarged. All of our Smocks are manufactured in the USA under our watchful eye. The quality is old-fashioned, even if the looks are not. We choose our fabric with an eye to what's stylish. We think you'll be very pleased with your Smock, but to ensure that, we guarantee your satisfaction. If you're unhappy for any reason, you can return your Smock for a full refund of the purchase price.

Questions from our customers:

"My favorite Smock is sold out. When will you get more?"
Unfortunately, never. Each Smock is a limited edition. We buy designer fabric remnants and make as many Smocks as we can from each piece. Once the inventory gets to zero, that's the end of that story. We really don't like mass market aprons (and we don't think you do either).

"Do you have a return policy?"
If you are unhappy with your Smock for any reason, let us know by email or phone. Please include the invoice number from your order (it will be shipped with the Smock and emailed to you) and tell us whether you want store credit for a future purchase or a refund. We'll provide you with the return shipping address, and we will credit your store account, credit card or PayPal account for the full purchase price once we receive the Smock. Unfortunately, we can't refund shipping costs because those costs are not refunded to us.

"Is the Smocks website secure for online ordering?"
Yes, it is. We are a young online business, but we know security is crucial. We use ProStores as our backend for processing all orders and have a valid SSL certificate. All ordering information is encrypted. All credit card transactions are processed by Intuit Merchant Services (the very large company who brings you QuickBooks and Quicken) or by PayPal. "Do you ship to addresses outside the US?"
Yes, we do; however, you need to help us out a bit. First, you will need to pay using one of our accepted methods (Visa, MasterCard, AmEx, PayPal, etc). If you live in one of the 190 countries that the US post office services with flat rate shipping and you're not in a hurry, your shipping will probably cost about $12.95. If you live somewhere really exotic, maybe we'll hand deliver your Smock.

"Which Smock will look best on me?"
Smocks are designed to look attractive on a wide range of bodies, but if you're worried about a specific body feature, here's some ideas:

• If you are busty, you might like any style with a name starting with "M" because this empire style adjusts to fit a larger chest (the ties cross in the back for added support)
• If you're big around the middle, try one of the "J" name styles, but don't be afraid to try an "A" style which adds dimension at the waist.
• If you've got a big booty, try an "M" name style or an "A" name style . Each will attract attention to other parts of your body.
• If you're taller than average, try an "A" name style or the new "K" half aprons. The defined waist and gathered skirt add dimension to a tall frame.
• If you're shorter than average, put on heels. Any Smock will look fine on you (can you tell we are both short)?

"Do Smocks come in Plus sizes?"
The "M" named styles larger size will fit some bigger girls and the "K" size will fit any Plus size. We design our Smocks to compliment the female body, so we take care in getting the proportions exactly right. We know there are many gorgeous full-figured cooks and entertainers out there and we're trying to find the right look for them. More Plus sizes are on the way.

"Where are the pockets?"
The "Kelly," "Kate" and Kendall," have them! We didn't realize that pockets were so popular. Unfortunately, most apron pockets are placed right on the hips--exactly where most women don't need extra bulk. Our "K" Smocks have two hidden pockets built into the side seam where they don't add bulk.

"Are Smocks stain-proof?"
No, to be truly stain-proof they would need to be chemically treated. But, we choose high quality cotton fabric and test it ahead of time to be sure it washes well. Pre-treat a stain as you would with any clothing, and it should wash out. Over time, your beloved Smock may develop a few stubborn stains. Think of them as signs of good character.

"Do you sell Smocks in retail stores?"
No, we don't. To sell in a retail store we would either have to make Smocks more cheaply or raise our prices. We don't want to do either.

"I want to give a Smock to each of my bridesmaids. Can I get a volume discount?"
If you are buying 5 or more Smocks all shipped to the same address, please send us an email at info@smocksdesign.com and we'll help you place an order with a discount (the amount of the discount depends on how many you order).

"Where do you store Smocks in the kitchen?"
We can't bear to scrunch our Smocks in a drawer or cabinet, so we hang them from hooks on the wall. Another solution is to place a coat rack in the corner of your kitchen and hang them there. Really, they are too pretty to hide.

"Is it possible to wear a Smock out on the street?"
It's not only possible, we think it's quite daring and smart. The "M" name styles make cute tops when worn with jeans and a tank. Or if you're really brave, toss it over a bikini top. The "A" name styles make a very cool statement over almost anything.

"Why do Smocks have girl's names?"
Each name and description is carefully crafted to represent the style of its typical wearer. Surprisingly, most customers say they choose a style that is a little different than what they normally wear. That's just fine with us.
